About

If you have read our history section, you will have noted that The Woodford Lodge which was founded on the 8th July 1918 and consecrated on the 14th February 1919 giving the lodge a long and rich history, which the current members are exceptionally proud and hope to continue.

We are an Emulation Lodge, which is the way we conduct our business in open lodge.

We have had many members and a few homes in our 100 plus years history and we have recently relocated back to a central London location specifically Mark Masons Hall in St James with the aim of sustaining and improving our membership levels.

The members of Woodford Lodge come from all parts of London and the Home Counties, and a few of them work in London itself, which was a big driver in our move back to a London temple.

We like to think of ourselves as a progressive Lodge and are open to all new ideas on how to run and expand our Lodge not just in numbers, although that always helps but with the conception of this website being just one such idea.

We actively encourage our members to visit other Lodges as this gives us an insight into how these Lodges run and things that they do, which we may not do and can learn from.

Below is a short list of some of the Lodges that we visit on a regular basis and as part of visiting we always offer our assistance if called upon.

St Helen and St Giles Lodge No. 9133 (Essex)
Lodge of Industry No.6068 (Essex?)
Alexandra Palace No: 1541 (London)

We also have members of other Lodges that visit us, some of which have attended for many years, so much so that we have made one such visitor an Honorary Member of Woodford Lodge.
